With a style all its own, the Jazzmaster has been sitting on the cutting-edge of cool for decades. This beautiful axe harkens back to a time of peace, love, and music, paying homage to the style and vibe of the '60s. Featuring a Fender-designed Jazzmaster body, groovy specs, and eclectic Jazzmaster electronics, this guitar is for anyone who loves the Jazzmaster style coupled with the aura of the 1960s.Fender-Designed Jazzmaster BodyThe Jazzmaster body has been a recognizable staple of the Fender line since the late '50s. The off-set, curvy body of this Jazzmaster is cut from poplar and finished in gloss polyurethane. Its 25.5" "C" shape maple neck is topped with an Indian laurel fingerboard that sports a 9.5" radius with 21 frets. Groovy SpecsBack in the '60s, the Jazzmaster was still a young instrument. You could even say that was the decade it grew up in. This Jazzmaster's style pays tribute to the glory days of rock 'n' roll. It's got a vintage-tinted gloss urethane neck finish for an old-school aesthetic, not to mention narrow-tall frets and classic dot inlays. The hardware is nickel-plated and it's got a 6-saddle vintage-style bridge with non-locking floating vibrato. Last, but not least, vintage-style tuners and period-correct headstock markings complete the throwback design. Eclectic Jazzmaster ElectronicsWithout explanation, Jazzmaster electronics are a bit daunting, but really there is nothing to fear. We can break it down quite simply, so you'll be able to make use of its awesome features in no time. The Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster has two Fender-designed Alnico Single-Coil pickups at the neck and bridge. It's got two ways to control and adjust those pickups - the rhythm and lead circuit. The up/down slider in the top corner switches between those two circuits. When it's down, the lead circuit is engaged, and the master volume and tone, as well as three-way switch on the bottom, are activated. When the slider is up, the rhythm circuit is engaged, and only the neck pickup is active. With that circuit, the two left/right thumb sliders are used to adjust the volume and tone of the neck pickup. Now that you know how it works, the Jazzmaster is hard to resist.
